European markets traded just above flat on Wednesday, as the U.K. approved the COVID-19 vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford and prepared to push the post-Brexit trade deal through Parliament.
The pan-European Stoxx 600
was up 0.18%, as indexes across the continent were trading close to flat in the middle of a week shortened by holidays. London’s FTSE 100
was 0.1% higher, while in Paris the CAC 40
rose 0.09%. Frankfurt’s DAX
fell 0.07% from yesterday’s record high.
